Responsibilities
Espial is seeking a software developer to become part of a dynamic team delivering the Espial Media Services Platform to our global base of customers. As part of the Platform Engineering team, you will be responsible for developing the infrastructure that meets the performance, reliability and scalability requirements of our large IPTV, OTT and Video on Demand customer base.
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years experience in Java programming is required along with strong knowledge and experience of commercial Linux distributions
- Linux configuration and development experience
vJava development
- Scripting languages such as Perl and Python
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP and other network and internet protocols including SSL/HTTPS
- Performance tuning of web applications
- Strong knowledge of Carrier Grade concepts
- Demonstrated experience in at least one full software product development lifecycle
- Proven ability to work well on cross-functional project teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent system level debugging, problem solving and testing skills

Product Marketing Manager

Responsibilities
The Product Marketing Manager will develop, plan and execute strategic marketing initiatives to drive sales of Espial’s product and solutions. The successful candidate will demonstrate a very solid track record in marketing within the software telecommunications market.
Responsibilities will include:
- Formulate and deliver compelling product positioning for Espial’s products and solutions, including positioning, features and benefits of Unique Selling Propositions (USP).
- Identify and validate new and potential USPs based inputs and feedback from customers, market thought leaders, channel partners, sales and competitive inputs.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of the competitive marketplace in order to provide input to product roadmap as developed by Product Management. Review candidate features for product roadmap with customers.
- Develop sales tools and collateral materials such as white papers, product presentation, competitive analysis and positioning. Develop product vision and roadmap communication in conjunction with product management, senior management and other relevant stakeholder.
- Educate and train direct sales and channels on Product and solutions. Promote customer success case stories.
- Lead joint promotions plans with Partners such as OEM and eco-system vendors.
- Act as the first line of contact for sales and support in RFX responses.
- Set product pricing for direct and sales and channels.
- Identify, define and execute on market launch for products. Attend key industry shows as the product champion
Requirements
- Minimum five (5) years Product Marketing experience.
- University degree in Engineering, Business or Computer Science.
- Must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy. The position requires a highly motivated and capable professional who has a proven track record in marketing planning specifically with tier 1 ( telco and cable) service providers.
- Demonstrated experience in business case preparation and a proven ability to create, execute and manage marketing programs.

Network Support Specialist

Responsibilities
The Network Support Specialist will be responsible for the corporate infrastructure in our Sunnyvale office and user support for local and remote users. Specific responsibilities include:
- Maintenance and upgrade to network equipment including patches & driver upgrades for servers and workstations as well as hardware upgrades
- Monitor server performance and disk space requirements
- Provide account maintenance (creation/deletion) & troubleshoot on all Linux / Unix, Cisco systems – routers, VPN system, file systems, some Windows Servers
- Maintenance of the corporate Cisco phone system
Requirements
- Proven industry administrative experience with a Network Server/PC environment (minimum of 3 years experience)
- Cisco certified engineer

Espial is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to support Espial’s global base of Middleware Customers and Channel Partners. Your responsibilities will include:
- Technical Support Ticket tracking & resolution via Web, E-Mail and Phone.
- Remote login to customer systems to identify and correct or advise on issues.
- Perform Customer & Partner upgrades both remotely and onsite (5-10% travel may be required)

Focusing on telco and cable/MSO service providers, you will be responsible for:
- Working directly with the sales team, customers and prospects to understand requirements and propose solutions to meet customer business and technical needs
- Driving and producing technical solution proposals as well as detailed compliance responses for RFIs/RFPs
- Seeking new technology and ecosystem partners as well as working with existing partners to define integrated solutions to meet customers’ business and technical needs
- Staging, installing, configuring and delivering effective demonstrations and lab trials for prospects, customers and partners
