OTTAWA, Canada - 19 April, 1999: Espial Group Inc. announced today that it has opened an office in Dallas, Texas to respond to the growing demand for its embedded Java products. The sales office located in Dallas will serve as Espial's sales headquarters.

"The Dallas headquarters will allow us to efficiently support and service our customers and sales personnel throughout the United States", said Jaison Dolvane, President, Espial Group Inc. "This further strengthens Espial's position in the industry, as the leader in Embedded and Personal Java technology."

Derek South, Vice President of Sales, and a fifteen-year veteran of the embedded software industry will head the new office. Prior to joining Espial Group, he held senior sales positions at Ready Systems/Microtec, Microware, and others.
