October 12, 2006 - Espial® IPTV, a leading provider of IPTV middleware and applications, today announced the appointment of Bob Daly as CFO. Mr. Daly has more than 20 years experience in senior positions with both public and private companies. He joins Espial at a time of accelerating growth and will be responsible for ensuring strong financial controls and accounting best practices at the company.

Mr. Daly is a Chartered Accountant with financial leadership in the high tech sector for both start-ups and large multi-billion dollar public companies. As Vice President of Finance for JDS Uniphase during that company's period of hyper-growth, Mr. Daly guided day-to-day financial functions and led statutory financial reporting and filing requirements. He was also a key member of the operations team responsible for business unit strategy, operational targets, and international business performance.

Other roles for Mr. Daly include CFO for Oprel Technologies and Controller for Cognos Incorporated. For the past four years, he has been a highly sought-after consultant and President of Business Planning Associates, where he advised firms on financial reporting and control, corporate strategy, operations planning, and corporate finance. Highlights of his consulting experience include interim roles as CFO, leading a client to an initial public offering, and advising a major financial institution in the creation of a $50 million venture capital fund.
