Espial's Art Initiative Off To Colourful Start

March 31, 2000
OTTAWA, Canada - 31 March 2000: Espial's Art Initiative, a program that encourages local artists by providing a venue to showcase their work, got off to a colorful start this past winter. Students from two Ottawa-area high schools, Rockland District High School and Ashbury College, presented Espial with some of their finest works.

Then, in late February, Espial invited these fledgling artists into their headquarters for lunch and a viewing of their work. Many thanks to Paisley Nesmith, and her grade eleven students from Rockland, and Mary Ann Varley, and her grade ten students from Ashbury, who made this initiative a success.

The minimalist art of Douglas Wilkinson will be showcased in April as will the photography and paintings of another local artist in May.
